Genealogical Society of New Jersey (GSNJ) memberships for Individuals & Institution and Non-Profit Organizations are offered with three different delivery options for society publications and communications.
- Digital: All publications and communications delivered DIGITALLY ONLY.
- Print GMNJ: Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey (GMNJ) delivered in PRINT and DIGITALLY; other publications and communications delivered DIGITALLY.
- Print Only: GMNJ, GSNJ Newsletter, and all communications delivered in PRINT ONLY. No subscription to NewsBrief (GSNJ’s digital-only e-zine).

Note to current members whose membership expires in 2026 or later: If your membership expires in 2026 or later, you do not need to take any action regarding the 2026 membership dues. Your membership remains the same until it is due for renewal.
GSNJ Individual Member Benefits
Membership in GSNJ includes:
- Subscription to the Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey
(Annual subscription consists of three issues, 3rd issue contain every-name index to the Volume) - Subscription to the GSNJ Newsletter
- Digital delivery of GSNJ NewsBrief, an e-Zine publication of the Society (except Print Only memberships)
- Access to monthly webinar recordings for 30 days after presentation
- Access to Members Only events
- Members’ 50% discount on all publications three years old and older at the GSNJ Bookstore
(Excluding back issues of the Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey) - Members’ 25% discount on all publications less than three years old at the GSNJ Bookstore
(Excluding back issues of the Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey) - Notices for all GSNJ events and meetings
- Discount on registration for GSNJ Genealogy Conference and other events (where there may be a registration fee)
- New Benefit Research Assistance: Copies of 5 Bible and Family Records per year at no cost.
- New Benefit Research Assistance: Copies of 5 GMNJ articles per year at no cost.
- New Benefit Research Assistance: Maximum of 3 hours of General Research per year at no cost.
- Voting rights (One vote per member; two votes per family membership. No voting rights for Institution and Non-Profit Organization Subscribers.)
The Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Donations or dues exceeding more than $50.00 per calendar year may be tax-deductible. Consult your tax professional. The Society also welcomes donations of any amount. Thank you!
New Memberships or Membership Renewals
Subscription Year All GSNJ memberships (except life memberships) and subscriptions run from January 1-December 31. Members who join anytime during the Membership Year will receive all issues of publications published during that year.
Individual and Family Memberships All Membership levels include one subscription to the Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey and discounts for the named member(s), unless noted otherwise.
International Memberships International memberships must be paid with a credit card, international money order, or by personal check drawn against a U.S. bank account.
